Saturday Night Livestar Taran Killam is sticking up for the show after he appeared in a controversial sketch mocking ISIS.

The ad, which pokes fun at the Toyota "My Bold Dad" campaign, features Killam as a father who's struggling to go of let his daughter, played by host Dakota Johnson, after she graduates high school and decides to join ISIS.

Almost immediately, the show received backlash, with viewers saying the sketch was in poor taste. On Sunday, Killam took to Twitter to express his thoughts:
