Wednesday was '80s night on American Idol, which meant that, in addition to Boy George mentoring the Top 11, David Hasselhoff showed up to perform a bizarre medley. Despite the audience's cheers, we have a sneaking suspicion that the tweens in attendance had no idea 1) Who the Hoff is, and 2) Any of the songs he was singing.

What songs does American Idol need to retire?

So let's just forget that ever happened and move on to the most important performance of the night:Salt-N-Pepa. For those of you who only know the dynamic duo from their Geico commercial, they are one of the greatest rap groups of all time, male or female. Even JLo couldn't help but fan-girl as the pair pushed it real good.

Unfortunately, not everything was so amazing Wednesday night. Maddie, Adanna and Rayvon were in the bottom three with no chance of being saved. In the end, the two girls were sent packing, which was a shame because Adanna was clearly dressed like she was about to own the stage.

Rayvon capped off the episode by performing a ho-hum version of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World." We know he was probably shaken by almost being sent home, but do you think this performance will keep him safe next week?
