Here at TV Guide, we're officially almost out of shark puns.

But a lack of clever writing has certainly never stopped the brain trust over at Syfy, which premiered Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! Wednesday night.

The network has already announced Sharknado 4. (Suggested title: Sharknado 4: Because You Keep Watching Them, America!) The news premiered at the end of Sharknado 3, when viewers were asked to determine the outcome of the cliff-hanger that showed a giant piece of spaceship wreckage raining down toward April (Tara Reid). Viewers would tweet their votes for whether #AprilLives or #AprilDies, and the result would be revealed in 'Nado 4.

Oh Hell No! netted 2.8 million pairs of eyeballs, according to TVLine.com. That's down 28 percent from Sharknado 2, though double the original Sharknado's 1.4 million viewers.

The Twitter numbers tell a different story. Sharknado 3 netted 2 billion (with a B!) Twitter impressions, and was the top trending topic in the United States and the No. 2 trending topic worldwide. A few celebrities even got in on the fun:

Even NASA had thoughts about it, because apparently they aren't too busy with that whole Pluto fly-by thing:

Syfy will air Sharknado 3 again on Saturday at 7/6c, and then, we imagine, quite regularly into perpetuity.
