Michelle Dockery's Fiancé Dies at 34

Downton Abbeystar Michelle Dockery is mourning the loss of her fiancé John Dineen, theIrish Independentreports. The Irish commercial public relations executive died on Sunday from a rare form of cancer at the age of 34.

Dockery, who turned 34 on Tuesday, released a statement saying she and Dineen's family are "very grateful for the support and kindness they have received but would kindly request that they are left to grieve in private."

The actress began dating Dineen in September 2013 after being introduced by herco-star Allen Leech. He was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and returned home to Ireland to receive treatment at Marymount Hospice in Cork. Dineen passed away at the hospice with Dockery at his bedside.
