Jared Padalecki is returning to Stars Hollow. The actor will reprise his role as Dean Forester on Netflix's Gilmore Girlsrevival, Varietyreports. David Sutcliffe, who played Rory's (Alexis Bledel) father Chris, will also return.

The duo joins original stars Bledel and Lauren Graham (Lorelai), as well as returning cast members Milo Ventimiglia (Jess), Matt Czuchry (Logan), Liza Weil (Paris), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Sean Gunn (Kirk), Scott Patterson (Luke), Keiko Agena (Lane) and Yanic Truesdale (Michel). Sutton Foster, who starred on Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino's short-lived series Bunheads has also joined the cast in an unknown role. Melissa McCarthy claims she was never asked to reprise her role as Sookie.

Melissa McCarthy says she wasn't asked to join Gilmore Girls revival

Since leaving Gilmore Girls, Padalecki has gone on to star on Supernatural, which is currently in its 11th season. Sutcliffe recently appeared as himself on Degrassi: Next Class when a character suspected the actor of being her father since her mother was an extra on Gilmore Girls.

Padalecki's return means Rory will be reuniting with all three of her exes. Though, no word yet on whether Chad Michael Murray will reprise his role as Rory's smarmy high school crush Tristan.

No premiere date has been set for the four-part Gilmore Girls revival.
