The Wayward Sisters Might Rejoin Supernatural in Season 14

At least, according to Supernatural's Misha Collins!

Wayward Sisterswas supposed to be a sure bet after its backdoor pilot onSupernatural garnered generally positive reviews. However, The CW threw fans a major curveball earlier this week when the network announced that it had passed on the potential spinoff -- which sparked a fan petition to save the series -- saying that it wasn't where The CW wanted it to be creatively.

But just because the CW isn't moving forward with the spin-off, that doesn't mean it's the end of the road for Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) and the rest our beloved all-woman demon-wrecking crew. Especially since they already have such a rich history in the Supernatural world.

"Wayward Sisters was special in that the characters that were spun off were for the most part characters that we had gotten to know and love over the course of several years on the show," Supernatural's Misha Collins told TV Guide during The CW's Upfronts red carpet event. "I think that that spin-off had a lot more emotional impact for the fans."

Why The CW Isn't Moving Forward with Wayward Sisters

With such a passionate fan base behind them and a rich history under their belt, there's no doubt you'll see the badass sisters again, and according to Collins, they just may resurface sooner rather than later. "All those characters are alive and well and strong and teed up to have other opportunities potentially on another show but certainly on Supernatural. And I know that the producers are already talking about ways to integrate them into the coming season," he added.

Let's hope this comes to fruition soon because after seeing the major forces Castiel (Collins), Jack (Alexander Calvert) and the Winchesters (Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki) are up against, they could use the extra help.

(Full disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS, one of the CW's parent companies.)
